Just as well there are a lot of other average/inconsistent teams in this league.

An hour and a half with a dental hygienist would have been preferable to that.

Couldn't believe their goal. Decent long ball, but the whole left side of the defence went missing in action.
Lonergan only had one option - unfortunately he didn't take it. Just stood there in no man's land and let Church lob it over him.
Terrible defending.

I hate it when we play this long ball stuff. Every goal kick or punt was aimed at Becchio's head. All their CBs had to do was wait. Every throw was taken by a full back (even if they had to run 50m to get there) and aimed at Becchio's head as well.

Must be an SG instruction.

Defenders kept Reading forwards reasonably quiet (from 3rd min. onwards) but distribution was terrible - Connolly excused - had a decent game imo.

Becchio and McCormack doesn't seem to work. Maybe it's the same in training and the reason why SG was reluctant to try it.
Becchio and Keogh was no better.

Substitutions were too late and Brown seemed to have a bit of a sulk when he came off.

Reading - hard-working side but nothing special. We made it so easy for them. One header on target and a couple of corners isn't much to show for 90 minutes. We wouldn't have scored if we'd played on to Christmas.

Only Snods came over to the E stand to acknowledge the fans. I think the rest of them knew we weren't happy.
