Daytime : Absolutly unlistenable. Just how much to you want to punch that Steve Wright and his band of merry men? Possible send Wogan and Kennedy to that clinic in Switzerland. Now?

Radcliffe and Maconie: Great show, but has Radcliffe had a stroke or something. Find it almost impossible to understand what he's saying these days. "er...er this er er er is...er..er Joy...er...er...er...er divis...er.er...ion. Took the poor lad almost half an hour to introduce a live Morrissey gig the other week.

Bob Harris Country : Ace as long as he aint doing all that shiny Nashville shite.

Bob Harris Sat Night : Normally ace, but has been a bit of a let down of late. some really poor guests and some really horrible musical selections.
Never answers his emails. Bastard.

Mike Harding Folk : Great, as long as he aint playing any sea shanties.
Top bloke too, he was best buddies with my A level Geology teacher, we all went caving together and he played his banjo. In the dark. In a cave. Does that sound like a euphemism?

Paul Jones Blues : Like some enthusiastic bouncing puppy, ace as long as he aint playing any of his own tambourine based stuff.

Mark Lamarr, Gods Own Jukebox. Always throws up some unknown blinders, even the rubbish ones sounds good as the fifties throwback really does know his stuff and will reveal some incredible fact about it, which in itself is a joy to listen to. Reggae show worth a listen too. (ON NOW)

Dermot O'leary : Kill HIM!

Mark Lamarr is on Radio 2?!

Blimey, he seemed to be a right nipper when I was still there.

I agree about Bob Harris recently, he's gone right off. Never listen to 2 except for Lamarr on Listen Again. Can't stand him on that Buzzcocks programme but he's got a nice radio style.

I know for a fact that Paul Jones has all his talking bits written for him, which is a shame as i believed he was some sort of blues historian, turns out he is what he is, a presenter.

I find it hard to get myself to tune into Radio 2.
Its what my parents listen to.
But i suppose its just a matter of time, that and slippers.

Listen to Radcliffe and Naconie in the evening. Anything's better than the execrable (thanks Butts) Zane Lowe.

You're right about Radciffe's stammer who ever it was. Starting to annoy me and i'm normally very tolerant.

Thought Mozza was a bit of an arse when he was on.

'I just make music for my self now'. Well fuck off and listen to it by yourself then.

Cant believe you haven't mentioned the goddess Sarah Kennedy. Possibly the worst music player on any radio anywhere though

Why do all radio stations seem to do that? There're so many tippety-top toe-tappin' tunes on the planet, but they feel obliged to play the some dross over and over again.

Grrrrr.

Atlantic 252 did it to great effect though.

Great radio in it's day, especially on an away day/weekend to Porthmadog/Black Rock sands

Ok, apart from some of the evening shows I think we can safely say that Radio 2 through the day is, in the main, cheesy baba.

I don't normally get to hear it much cos I'm at work but yesterday I was out driving and I was listening to a show that Zoe Ball was hosting. She was interviewing the head man from the Grimethorpe Colliery Band. She then played their excellent rendition of Glen Millers 'In the Mood'. No problems so far, a damn fine piece of music played by a damn fine brass band.

But after the record had finished ZB started gushing "Sarah from Bristol has tweeted us and said that tune has really lifted her day, Mike from Lowestoft tweeted saying wow what a great tune. Paul from Newcastle said what a great start to my Thursday. So if any listeners out there would like to get in touch, why dont you tweet us."

I'll tell you what Zoe, why don't YOU shut your trap and work out with your shows producer that in the time you have read out all the tweets and emails from dullards you could have played three more songs. Fuck me, all of the people must have been tweeting during the music instead of just sitting back and tapping their steering wheel and enjoying the band as I was doing. I couldn't give a goodfuck what Sarah from Bristol thinks, or what Paul from Newcastle thinks. When I get to the lowpoint of needing to hear what dullard tweeters think of records to justify and back up my own taste I won't be listening to the radio because I will be too busy sticking a Smith & Wesson in my mouth and pulling the trigger. Why does EVERYTHING these days have to be interactive. Just play fucking records for fucks sake. AAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH!
